How to Create Multichrome Freckles

A modern, colour-shifting take on faux freckles

Multichrome freckles are a subtle but striking way to add dimension, colour shift, and individuality to your makeup look. Using Question Beauty’s multichrome pigments and our mixing medium, you can create freckles that catch the light and shift colour as you move.

This technique works beautifully for everyday glow, editorial makeup, and creative looks.

What You’ll Need

• Any Question Beauty multichrome pigment
• Mixing medium
• A small brush, dotting tool, or the back of a makeup brush

How to Apply Multichrome Freckles

1. Mix your pigment
• Place a tiny amount of multichrome pigment onto a palette
• Add a drop of mixing medium and mix until you reach a thin, liquid consistency

2. Apply the freckles

• Using the back of a brush, a dotting tool, or a fine brush, lightly dot the mixture onto the cheeks and across the bridge of the nose • Vary the size and spacing for a natural, lived-in effect

3. Let them set

• Allow freckles to dry fully before adding blush or highlight over the area

• Soft, light-catching freckles with a colour-shifting finish
• A unique alternative to traditional faux freckles

Pro Tips
• Less is more, start with fewer dots and build gradually
• Use lighter pressure for subtle freckles, heavier pressure for editorial looks
• Different multichrome shades will create different colour-shift effects
