Product
For a flawless application that ensures your pigment's longevity and showcases its beautiful colour shifts in all their glory, we highly recommend applying them over a tacky primer or with a mixing medium. To achieve the best results, we strongly advise using our Question Beauty Gel Primer as the ultimate pigment adhesive.
Using with the Gel Primer:
1. Apply a thin, sheer layer of the Gel Primer over your bare eyelids or other eyeshadows.
2. Allow the Gel Primer to dry for 10 seconds before applying pigments on top.
3. Gently tap and blend the pigment onto the desired area using a brush or your fingers.
4. Layer the pigments for intensified and multi-dimensional effects, exploring endless creative possibilities.
Using with the Mixing Medium:
1. Press the button on the top of the cap to collect some product
2. Mix equal amounts of the Mixing Medium and the pigment of your choice on a palette or the pigment cap.
3. Using a flat brush, apply a thin layer all over the lid for an extra pigmented, foiled look OR use a detail brush to use any pigment as an eyeliner or get extra creative!
4. Allow 30 seconds to dry, to avoid creasing or smudging.
They are used to achieve different textures and effects, allowing you to get the most out of your pigments and unleash your creativity! The Gel Primer is a must-have basic, helping pigment adhere to your skin and last for hours, whereas the Mixing Medium is a really versatile product which can turn your pigments into liquid eyeshadows, custom liners and lipsticks!
No, you don't! However, applying the Question Beauty pigments over a black base unlocks a rainbow of magical colours. The multichrome shifts and sparkling tones take on a whole new dimension when contrasted with a black base, offering a unique spotlight effect. This allows you to unleash your creativity and experience the illusion of having two different pigments from the same shimmering pot.
Multichrome refers to a type of colour changing makeup that doesn't actually change color. Instead, its appearance changes based on the angle that it's viewed. Tiny flakes of product reflect light in different directions, creating the illusion of a rainbow of colours in iridescent pigments.
The visibility of the shifts for all multichromes depends directly upon under what lighting they are viewed. We recommend using more than one light source and not using diffused light or flash lighting.
Multichrome pigments are expensive because they're extremely difficult to make. Every particle works like a prism that refracts light differently depending on the view angle. That's some serious science/magic which unfortunately comes at a price. Plus unlike many pressed pigments ours do not have much if any fillers, meaning a little will go a looooong way.
Don't worry! This is totally normal for all of our loose pigments to vary as each product is measured on weight, and the difference in density and textures mean some pots could look fuller than others. Rest assured, they are all weighed by our highly trained staff with Approved Cosmetic Grade Scales making sure you get exactly what you pay for.
Our standard Loose Pigments contain a minimum of 1g of product.
This is the beauty of our Multichrome and Duochrome pigments, they look different in all different lights and include light sensitive ingredients. Direct sunlight can sometimes wash-out the colours and affect their shifting. We find that natural and low light will display the true colours. We always recommend pairing our pigments with out bestselling Gel Primer; a silky light-weight gel, ensuring your pigments stay put.
