How to Apply Dark Multichromes (DARK FLAME)
Dark multichromes like Dark Flame thrive on intensity, they’re made for depth, drama, and dimensional color shifts that catch every flicker of light.
Here’s how to make them truly come alive:
✖ Don’t's:
• Apply over a clear or bare base.
These shades need something to grip onto and contrast against. A transparent primer will mute the shift and make it appear patchy.
• Swipe the pigment on or apply a sheer layer.
Swiping can cause fallout and uneven payoff, dulling the multichrome effect.
✔ Do's:
1. Create a dark base.
Use a black or deep-toned primer to give the pigment a foundation that enhances its richness and reveals every undertone.
2. Add a transition shade.
Before applying the pigment, softly blend a neutral or complementary color through your crease or outer corner to create that seamless, smoky gradient.
3. Pack on the pigment (don’t blend it in).
Using a flat brush, press Dark Flame over a slightly tacky gel primer. This technique locks in the pigment and amplifies its multidimensional color shift for a bold, mirror-like finish.
Pro Tip:
Mist your brush lightly with setting spray before picking up the pigment for even more intensity and longer wear.
When done right, Dark Flame delivers a molten, metallic depth that looks like it’s burning from within.
